CROFISH on the Poreč seafront!
At the Poreč seafront, CROFISH visitors will be able to board and explore numerous vessels. We highlight the following ships:
OOB 32 UMAG
The coastal patrol vessel OOB-32 Umag is the first in a series of five vessels commissioned for the Croatian Coast Guard and Navy. It measures 43.16 metres in length and is fitted with an Aselsan SMASH remotely-controlled weapon station equipped with a 30 mm Mk44 Bushmaster II automatic cannon. Additional armament includes two manually-operated 12.7 mm Browning machine guns and four man-portable air-defence missile systems.
The vessel carries a crew of 17 and has an operational endurance of ten days. Propulsion is provided by two main engines rated at 2 × 2,525 kW (2 × 3,386 hp), enabling a maximum speed of 28 knots. Surveillance equipment consists of high-resolution day cameras for detection and tracking, a long-range thermal-imaging camera, and two specialist night-vision binoculars.
The vessel is equipped with full nuclear, biological and chemical protection, hermetic sealing capability, and an onboard decontamination station. A navigation radar with a 96-nautical-mile range provides detection, tracking and positioning of objects at sea. Firefighting capability is ensured by a water cannon delivering 1,250 litres per minute with a reach of 50 metres.
SUPERBO
The fishing vessel Superbo, registered in Chioggia (Italy), has an overall length of 22.5 metres, a hull length of 19.98 metres and a gross tonnage of 98 GT. It is propelled by an engine rated at 441 kW. Constructed of metal at CNV – Cantieri Navali Venezia in 2017, the vessel is licensed for several types of towed fishing nets as well as gillnets.

Due to its striking design, the vessel is easily recognisable in port and highly regarded by passengers. It undergoes full safety inspections and general maintenance every winter. In 2016 the catamaran received new, more powerful engines, upgraded air-conditioning, improved seating and enhanced multimedia systems to ensure a high level of passenger comfort.
