OB-04 Croatian Kostajnica, a patrol ship from the fleet of the Croatian navy, was built in 1985 in the Kraljevica shipyard. Like many other Yugoslav navy ships, at the beginning of the war, this ship found itself in the Šibenik Repair Shipyard, in the final phase of a major overhaul. Shipyard workers took it over on 26 September 1991, and on 28 September, it was launched into the sea. It was named Croatian Kostajnica on 15 October 1991, in memory of the defenders of the town of the same name. Until the end of the homeland war, the ship was used to support the operations of the Croatian armed forces and to secure maritime traffic. After the end of the war, it was part of the Croatian navy fleet and was responsible for monitoring the state borders at sea. With the reorganisation of the Croatian navy in 2007/2008 it was transferred to the Croatian coast guard fleet.
